Well Christmas is over and there’s not much festive spirit in the papers today. I have been reading the Daily Mirror about people dialling 999 for shocking reasons. Someone called 999 because they couldn’t get through to vote for the Strictly Come Dancing final! I have to say I loved ‘Strictly’ but to be so kooky that you don’t realise what the emergency services are really for, hmm…

I also went on to read that Linda Lusardi called 999 as she was late for her Panto performance – could this really be true?! I have to be honest, I did see her this year in the Panto and she was very good. But Linda, dialling 999? Come on!

I’m looking forward to New Year’s Eve, but after that there doesn’t seem to be a great deal to look forward to. So I have decided to budget so that I can look forward to some activities to keep me going through January. A New Year’s resolution is to watch my pennies so I have checked out what promotional codes there are for fab experience deals. My favourites are 10% off a Hard Rock Café Experience, 10% off tickets to Cadbury World, 10% off a visit to the Houses of Parliament, all with Attraction Tix. There is even 4 days for the price of 3 at Disneyland Paris, but I’d have to save for that! Oh decisions, decisions…
